Applications:
Microscopy - The technical field of using microscopes to view samples or objects.
Fiber-Optics - The overlap of applied science and engineering concerned with the design and application of optical fibers. They are used as light guides in medical applications where bright light needs to be shone on a target without a clear line-of-sight path.
Endoscopy - Refers to looking inside the body for medical reason - using an endoscope.
Overhead Surgical Illumination - Lamps for surgical illumination includes at least one light source that is displaceable with respect to one another by means for automatically adjusting the concentration of the light rays on an operation field.
Bilirubin Treatment - Using light treatment, phototherapy, this is the process of using light to eliminate bilirubin in the blood. These light waves are absorbed by your baby's skin and blood and change bilirubin into products, which can pass through their system. The treatment would use fluorescent lights around the incubated infant and also could use a biliblanket/fiber-optic blanket consisting of either halogen lamps or LEDs that would emit the healing light directly on the baby'fs skin.
Optical Comparator - An instrument that projects a magnified image or part onto a screen for comparison to a standard overlay profile to scale.
Medical Fiber-Optics - Illumination of human organs or tissue with white light containing a well balanced mix of colors in a spectrum.
UV-Curing - Exposure of light activated adhesive to UVA light.
Biotechnology - Only technological application that uses biological systems, living organisms, or derivatives there of, to make or modify processes for specific use.
Dental Bleaching - The whitening of teeth from intense light exposure.
Surgical Headlights - Are adapted to be worn on the head of user supporting a light projecting focusing element such that the coaxial design coincides with the visual axis of the eye.
Fluorescence Microscopy - When the compounds are illuminated with high energy light, they then emit light of a different lower frequency.
Sterilization - High germicidal efficiency with surface radiation.
Dermatology - The branch of medicine dealing with the skin and its appendages - common examples of skin disorders that would use light as a form of therapy include: acne, skin cancer, eczema & psoriasis.
Phototherapy - Exposure to daylight or specific wavelengths of light using lamps for a prescribed amount of time.
Surgical Hand-held Light - A handheld surgical light assembly that includes a light source and handpiece which is adapted to be manipulated by users.
Ophthalmology - The branch of medicine which deals with the diseases and surgery of the visual pathways, including the brain, and areas surrounding the eye.
